RICHLAND MAIN STREET
Georgia Main Street Affiliate Program
Providing matching funds for economic development and historic preservation projects on Broad Street.
Current Projects and Initiatives
Main Street has assisted the city financially in developing the City Annex building on Broad Street this year. Landscaping will be completed soon to create a new, attractive venue on Broad Street. New children's playground equipment will be purchased for the city park and our facade assistance program continues to assist businesses in creating a more appealing downtown.
Distillery Park at the Richand Heritage House
A park on Broad Street next to the historic Richland Inn building, now known as Richland Heritage House, offers a small park for residents and visitors. Benches, a lighted flag pole and Tea Olives welcome all. Richland Rum owns the building and is developing food and beverage, historical and educational offerings on site.
Festival Sponsorship Program
The Richland Pig Fest, which is home to Richland Backyard Pig Fest Challenge, the Budweiser Stage and Beer Tent, The Pig Fest Corn Hole Challenge, Pyrotecnico Fireworks Display and the Southern Carnival Midway, are supported by corporate donors, business donors and individual sponsors like YOU.
Taste of Richland
The Fourth Annual Taste of Richland will be held Sunday, April 22, 2018. This farm-to-table food event presented by Richland Rum is a special opportunity to taste Georgia Grown products and meet the people who make them. Not only can you sample, you can buy your favorites at the Taste Market. Tickets will be available soon online at www.tasteofrichland.org. Proceeds fund local initiatives.
Richland is experiencing a revitalization! New businesses are coming. Our Main Street board is excited and we hope you are too. There is more economic activity in Richland now than since the sixties.
